Physical activity is a critical component of everyone's lifestyle irregardless of your age and to this extent, Chefette is a strong supporter of getting everyone, especially kids, to lead a more active lifestyle and develop long-lasting friendships in the process. To achieve this, Chefette has supported numerous initiatives in various sports such as motor sports, cricket, road tennis, tennis, squash, football, swimming, netball, golf & athletics and various charitable fun walks, fun runs & fun rides.
Athletics
The Pine Hill Dairy National Primary Schools Athletics Championships (NAPSAC) receives support from Chefette through the supply of lunches & promotional branded items for approximately 130 officials of both the semi-finals and finals race meets. NAPSAC is the largest athletic event in Barbados where young children from over 80 Primary Schools compete against each other.
Barbados Island Fit Games
Chefette Restaurants is living up to its reputation as an outstanding supporter of local sporting and community events. The local indigenous Restaurant Chain will be assisting Team BIG with hosting the Barbados IslandFit Games on the Divi Southwinds grounds. These competitive events will bring together the fittest CrossFit athletes from Barbados and the wider region, to showcase their skills.
Cricket
Since 2011, Chefette has sponsored the Clobi Cup and in 2012 was the title sponsor of the “Chefette Kids Zone” at the Kensington Oval for the Caribbean T20 Cricket Tournament. Over the years the company has assisted schools such as St. Bartholomew’s Primary with branded cricket gear & supplies. In 2017, Chefette announced a multiyear sponsorship of the Tridents Pride of Barbados, T20 franchise, which competes in the Caribbean Premier League.
Football
Throughout the years Chefette has sponsored primary schools such as Erdiston Primary and Charles F. Broome Primary, football clubs such as the Pro Shottas Football Soccer School by way of Chefette branded trousers, jerseys and footballs in addition to assisting various school football clubs such as the Lodge & Lester Vaughan Schools with Chefette branded premium footballs.
Motor Sports
Motor sports is the number one spectator sport in Barbados and Chefette continues to sponsor this huge sport through its popular Speed Team consisting of Roger Mayers, Barry Mayers & Rhett Watson. The company also sponsors the numerous marshals throughout the year by providing meals and branded promotional items to them across the various motor sports clubs such as the Barbados Rally Club (BRC) and Mud Dogs.
Surfing
The Soup Bowl at Bathsheba, St. Joseph comes alive in November, with the staging of the Independence Pro and Junior Pro Surfing competitions. Chefette Restaurants will again be giving its full support to the Barbados Surfing Association when it hosts the Surfing competitions. Locals and Visitors will get the opportunity to see some of the most talented surfers from many countries, regional and extra-regional, such as Belgium, Canada, Costa Rica, Guadeloupe, Hawaii, Jamaica, Peru, Puerto Rico, Trinidad & Tobago, United States and Venezuela. There will be an Independence Pro competition usually consist of the Men’s Open and Women’s Open Competitions. The Soup Bowl Junior Pro will be contested by girls under 18, Boys under 16, under 12 Open, and under 21 competitions.
Chefette has also partnered with the Barbados Surf Promotions in the hosting of the 2nd World Surf League Men's and Women's QS 3000 event held on the south coast at Drill Hall beach . This event is one of the largest and most prestigious events held in the Caribbean. Entries were opened for one week and attracted a full field of entries with 128 men and 48 women competitors (representing 24 countries) bringing many foreign spectators to our shores.
Tennis
Chefette sponsored the "Kids Charity Event" for Tennis Pon De Rock which guest hosted tennis international superstars Serena Williams & Caroline Wozniacki in 2009 and Victoria Azarenka, Venus Williams, Gael Monfils & John Isner in 2011.
